Anna Pióro: The Kraków Ghetto 1941–1943. A Guide to the Area of the Former Ghetto. 32 pages, size 12 x 21 cm.
Updated reissue of the published for the first time in 2005 guide through the Ghetto in Kraków, in two languages!
On March 3rd 1941 decree of the governor of Kraków district - Otto Wächtera was announced. The decree regarded establishment of Jewish residential district because of "health and police reasons". The ghetto was located on the right side of the Wisła River in the Podgórze district. It included a few streets around the Zgody Square (currently its Bohaterów Getta Sq.) and 320 buildings in total. The area was located between Wisła River, Podgórski Square, Krzemionki and Kraków-Płaszów railway. The deadline of people resettlement was set on March 20th the same year.

The guide book shows you round the most important places and buildings in the ghetto (including Bohaterów Getta Sq., Eagle Pharmacy of Tadeusz Pankiewicz), describes the living conditions and everyday lives of its inhabitants  and the methods of persecution used by the occupant.

The book also contains a detailed map of the ghetto and a map of all branches of MHK.

The catalogue was made as an extension of the exhibition titled "From the empire style to art déco - Stools, chairs, armchairs, which is a part of the series "From front to kitchen" presented in the Hipolit house. the catalogue describes 25  stools, chairs and armchairs selected from the collection of our museum, showing transformation of art styles in carpentry from the beginning of 19th century to the 20's of the 20th century. In the catalogue each furniture has a separate entry and picture. At the beginning of the catalogue there is an introduction which describes the carpentry from the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The catalogue contains bibliography, English summary and pictures showing ancient interiors.

Eugeniusz Duda: Pillars of the Judaism: The Hebrew Bible, Talmud, Rabbinic Literature. The exhibition catalogue. Kraków 2009.
The catalogue from the exhibition in the Old Synagogue (June 28th – December 30th 2009), which shows fundamental literary heritage of Judaism: the Hebrew Bible, Talmud and later rabbinic literature. In the catalogue for the first time we present precious and typical for the subject Hebrew printings and manuscripts from our museum’s library: the Hebrew Bible and its translations for national languages, Tsena Urena, or the Bible for Jewish women with comments in Yiddish language, prayer books, volumes of the Talmud, codes, Rabbinic replies, (sets of questions and answers), cabalistic works, Hassid’s books, and also works from the scope of the  Hebrew grammar and measuring the Jewish calendar. Specific parts of the catalogue preceded by short introductions will make you more familiar with the subjects. Catalogue description of each item includes information about the content of the works, author and publisher (printer), and at least one picture. The book is available in language versions: Polish and English.

The catalogue in English related to the contest exhibition of Kraków Christmas Nativity Scenes. In the catalogue you will find a history of Kraków’s Christmas Nativity Scenes, description of amazing architecture and figures of the scenes. Moreover there is information about arcane of Kraków’s scenes’ makers and world successes of their works. The catalogue includes many photographs from the contests for the most beautiful scene from former times, these archive are black and white, and colourful photos of some scenes from the museum’s collection.

Monika Gibas, Petra Knöller, Cornelia Briel, Steffen Held: Aryanization in Leipzig. Eliminated. Robbed. Murdered. 1933–1945. Kraków 2009. 68 pages. 13,5 x 20,5 cm
The catalogue is an extension to the exhibition titled “Aryanization in Leipzig. Eliminated. Robbed. Murdered. 1933-1945”. The exhibition presents results of researches performed by group of German historians and museums’ employees. The exhibition has been presented in the Historical Museum of the City of Leipzig (Stadtgeschichtliches Museum Leipzig) since July 2007. Leipzig was one of the biggest centers of trade and publishing companies in Germany and it used to have long tradition of Jewish annexes and shops. On the example of the Leipzig city we can present how the Nazi ideology used to explain and put the concept of  Aryanization into effect – it was excluding Jews from economic life and destroying their sources of income. The catalogue presents extermination of Jewish families and their companies, it shows people reaping benefits from plunders and their methods of action what was the beginning of the Holocaust.

Maria Lempart, Jacek Górski: Forgotten heritage of Nowa Huta - Ruszcza and Branice. Kraków 2009
The catalogue follows another exhibition from the series Forgotten heritage of Nowa Huta  presented in the branch at 16 Słoneczne Estate. This year Nowa Huta celebrates the 60th anniversary of the foundation and the exhibition is dedicated to two localities - Ruszcza and Branice. The catalogue includes short descriptions of the archaeology of these lands, changes in the landscapes of both localities from the ancient times and current times, and the histories of Ruszcza and Branice and their owners from the Middle ages until year 1945. The second part of the book includes description of the exhibition and presented objects, and also wide list of related bibliography and summary in English. The catalogue includes many pictures, photographs of Ruszcza and Branice landscapes and inhabitants of these lands. Moreover there are the most interesting exhibits from the exhibition.
