Czesław Dźwigaj in his painting tetraptych entitled Continuum surprises us for the next time by creating a great, symbolic staging of “human comedy”. In the painting tetraptych, the age-old antithesis organizing human life: nature – providence, good – evil, hell – heaven, God – Satan, sacred – profane, found their translation to symbols.

The temporary exhibition Prisoner No. 774: Xawery Dunikowski at KL Auschwitz focuses on the wartime fate of Dunikowski and its reflection in the artist’s work. It is an extension of the permanent exhibition, Krakow during the occupation 1939–1945. This time it concerns the extreme experiences of an individual – a Krakow artist who was held at the concentration camp and then for years dealt with the traumatic experiences from this period.
