Janina Berdak Gra kolorów
| Janina Berdak - the play of colours |
| We would like to invite you to the Zwierzyniec Artistic Salon for the exhibition’s opening on May 10th, 2009 at 12.00. Janina Berdak knows all secrets of the landscape painting and its force of persuading. That is why she chose landscape, so to say “pure”, without staffage or even architecture. To express feelings or thoughts she only needs colours and light. Her art bases on the light loving postimpressionism trend. She applies typical for this trend inner colour and shine with an absolute certainty. Landscapes by Janina Berdak reached, recommended almost 500 years ago by Francisco de Holland perfection. ("taking pains you must aim at this, what’s the hardest to reach, and what seems to be done easily, as you didn’t want to"). That’s because only works created in accordance with the rigid discipline, can make an impression spontaneous delicacy. Her compositions are extremely complicated in binding dynamics of a fragment with a equilibrium of the whole, and some small graphical sections of a texture with a softness of colourful spots. Palette used by the artist oscillates between subtle monochromes and contrast of complementary colours. What is the secret of landscapes by Janina Berdak? Maybe it’s her specific colour system in a peculiar multi-coloured expressionism with no words like hard or brutal, but only subtle, nice and kind, in a lyrical expressionism which causes a resonance in our hearts and minds? And maybe in approbation of the world, where we can find our dreams of it? We don’t know, because the essence of art slips out in cold critical reason analysis. However we know that modest, but rich landscapes by Janina Berdak belong to the most interesting phenomenon in the group of the landscape painting, not only the last age. Jerzy Madeyski (2002 r.) The exhibition available from May 10th to June 13th 2009 Custodian: Janina Berdak Opening hours: Wednesday - Sunday 9.00-17.00 No charge |
