| The Kraków Nativity Scenes on the south of France |
| On 7th of December 2006, in a beautiful, seaside town - Theoule-sur-Mer – on the south of France, an exhibition showing Kraków Nativity Scenes coming from our museum’s collection was opened. The exhibition was arranged in cooperation with mayoralty of Theoule-sur-Mer. In the Salle Pollyvalente, newly opened exhibition hall in the city, the presentation of 30 cribs of famous Kraków’s artist was arranged. Amongst the cribs there were works of Bronisław Pięcik, Marian Dłużniewski, Roman Sochacki, Maciej Moszew and Zygmunt Grabarski. Beautiful, colourful buildings aroused delight of all guests who came to the ceremonial opening. They were delighted not only with colours and sizes, but also with abundance of legendary and historical figures related to Kraków. Skills of Kraków’s cribs makers were admired and everyone appreciated creative input and virtuosity of the cribs’ authors. The biggest enthusiast turned out to be the mayor of Theoule-sur Mer - Daniel Mansanti, who with his knowledge about Christmas cribs could take by surprise many a borne and bred in Kraków man.
